Piano Biography
Jon began his piano studies at an early age with his father Michael, achieving the St Mary's Organ scholarship and an excellent Grade 8 ABRSM examination result. He studied for 4 years with Peter Bithell at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, beginning his private teaching practice in 1999, which has continued to thrive alongside his role as visiting professor of piano at the Prebendal School in Chichester since 2011.
Jon works frequently as a repetiteur including in Italy with renowned conductor Nicoletta Conti (pianist for Pavarotti. Other accompanying work includes operatic repetiteur work, the Chichester Music Festival, numerous choirs, Brahms Cello Sonata with Jonathan Bloxham, concerts with renowned mezzo soprano Susan Legg, sopranso Kristel Seidler and Lu Clarridge and Mozart piano concertos with Benjamin Lathbury.
Solo appearances have included Mozart & Beethoven sonatas, recordings and performances on Film soundtracks.
